Brilliant, excellent and first class! No other way to really describe the service and professionalism provided by ADI Leak Detection and in particular Frank, the engineer who attended. Our central heating system kept losing pressure. We had ruled out the boiler and hot water cylinder (both had been checked and serviced) and thought it might be a leak. Frank arrived on time and spent the first 30 minutes listening to the problem, what we had done so far and asked a bunch of questions. He then set about doing a review of our system and radiators. Drained everything which took ages as it is a big system! He then put gas in the system and set about with 'gas' detectors and found the general location of the leak - frustratingly between two radiators under a travertine kitchen floor. He then used a metal detector to map the pipework, added water into the system and used a listening device to pin point the exact position. He lifted one single tile, chipped away cement and found the exact point of the leak. This in itself was incredible - needle in haystack type pinpoint accuracy! He promptly repaired it and the pipe next to it as felt that might be a problem in the future. He then tested the whole system again satisfied this was the only problem. He pointed out to me that one of our radiator release valves needed replacing and asked if he could replace it and also highlighted that best practice would be to have a couple of pressure release valves off our cylinder piping in the cellar and offered to add these. He cleaned up all the mess created from chipping out the tile and concrete. Our heating is back on and working perfectly! I have renovated three houses and dealt with many tradesman, plumbers, engineers and the like! These guys are the best and I would not hesitate to recommend them!

Very impressed with the service from ADI Leak Detection - I booked them to investigate a significant leak from my swimming pool. Danny and James from ADI Leak Detection arrived on time and quickly identified a number of potential leak locations using acoustics, pressure and dye detection. They then cracked on digging up and replacing pipes, before retesting the system. They kept me advised on what they were doing and were realistic about the outcomes at all times. Two weeks later, my leak is gone - it's not cheap, but it's money well spent.

We had an excellent experience with Christian and Robert. From the initial call, Christian took the time to understand our situation and clearly explained the leak detection process, which immediately gave us confidence.

Robert attended and carried out both tracer gas and acoustic testing, and was able to locate the leak quickly and accurately. He explained everything clearly as he went, which we really appreciated.

Importantly, there was no pressure to carry out unnecessary work — once the leak was identified, he advised us appropriately on next steps, which in our case involved contacting the water company.

After a previous poor experience with another company, this was a complete contrast. Professional, knowledgeable, and thorough throughout. Would highly recommend.

We used this company based on previous reviews. Mark and Scott attended our premises in Collingtree and identified an underground water leak by using gas tracer and sound detector. Part of our driveway block paving was removed to gain access to water pipe leak which was remediated successfully. They both covered driveway hole as best as can but this meant we needed external contractors to repair driveway as this was not in their expertise. Given as the leak was fixed in a matter of hours and their politeness and ethics, we can definitely recommend them. Thank you both Mariano and Berta

Attending Engineer was Matthew Barron for a leaking underground water supply pipe. He arrived exactly on stated time and quickly determined a leak and it’s location by use of sound and then gas detection He removed turf then soil and found the pipe. He repaired the pipe by removing the damaged section and replacing with new The pipes were again pressure tested with gas and then mains water and proved good and tight.He refilled the hole and replaced the turfs.He returned all that he had moved indoors ,back into place.He cleaned up and left advice about settling earth, and insurance claim.He never stopped for a break and left at 14:05. He was very polite and a very hard worker..

Adam from ADI visited the house in Cornwall. After a 3 hour drive - he was as fresh as a daisy and got straight down to leak detection. After filling the heating system to 2 bar, Adam's ultra sensitive hearing located the leaking pipework within 3 minutes. He was able to pin-point it to within 5 cm's - truely astonishing !!!. Adam then used wall water guages and listening equipment to confirm his findings. After digging the wall out and making minimal mess, the broken joint was replace, the heating system put back together and fully tested. Job done. Thank you.

Had a leak on underfloor heating pipe, SCOTT who came out to find and fix it, found it was an elbow on copper pipe which was split, he found it by ear first, then further testing with sound device and scanning, removed concrete to access, found water puddles, drained system and replaced split pipe and rejoined to radiator.

Bled radiators after refilling the system with pressure,set boiler at 1.2 and pressure stable.

Great guy, recommend to any future customers, he won't let you down.

What an absolute pleasure to be proved wrong. Notwithstanding having ADI recommended by a very reliable source, I was doubtful that they could really do what they promised, i.e. Find the leak in our Central Heating pipework hidden in one of two places: (i) A ceramic tiled floor on floorboards, ply-wood and joists, with electric under-floor heating, or (ii) A carpeted area, again with floorboards, ply-wood and joists, all almost hermitically sealed…

Darren turned up exactly on-time and undaunted by the task, set out narrowing down the general area with the use of tracer-gas – a task that was very far from easy, due to the way the floors were in both areas “sealed”. He then narrowed it down further with acoustic testing and located the leak, albeit after 3 hours of dedicated work.

The leak was very fine mist, so almost impossible to detect using normal equipment, but he did it and found the cause; a badly soldered joint from sixty year ago, which had failed when our new non-vented system was installed a month ago….

Darren made the repair, refitted the floor and carpet, and left us as though nothing had been touched. So a seriously brilliant result and without doubt worth every single penny.

Matthew arrived early and transferred a large amount of equipment to the house. He was very thorough in his attempt to trace where the water loss was.He explained what he was doing during the whole process including sound detection and gas / pressure checks. By a process of elimination he finally traced the loss to the toilet cistern. Brilliant work. Not cheap but worth it! My usual plumber had been unable to find the problem and had suggested getting someone with additional equipment as above. Glad I did.

I had a leak since god knows when just realised when my boiler needed replacing.

Called ADI yesterday and booked someone to come today.

Mark the engineer came and started listening out for any water noise and bingo!

Without using their fancy equipment he managed to find where the leak was and to make sure he used one of his machine and picked up exactly where it was leaking.

Very very pleased with his efficiency and he tided up before he left.

Definitely would recommend this company.

Our engineer, Paul forensically used heat camera, acoustic tests & gas detector to find an elusive leak. Lovely guy & so patient with all my questions. Highly recommended! Fantastic job successfully completed. Thank you, Paul.

Frank arrived a few minutes early, he worked methodically through the possible leak causes and tested each one. He had to put in a couple of extra valves in order to pressure test. When he found the likely source he used a gas test and then sound test to pinpoint it. Then he broke out the concrete, cut out the leaking pipe section as well as the worn pipe rubbing on it, and replaced them both. He was polite, friendly, wore a mask, and cleared up afterwards. He explained what he was doing as he went along and why he was doing it. Brilliant! He had a "can-do" attitude which is so welcome these days and he just cracked on, working for over 7 hours to complete the job.

We have had a problem with our boiler loosing pressure had boiler tested it was suggested we had a leak in our system.

ADI engeneer called Frank arrived at our property exactly on time Frank introduced himself,explaining exactly what he was going to do.

Frank located the leak very quickly with thermal imaging equipment confirmed the suspected leak site with damp meter and ultra sound followed by system drain down and gas monitoring.very professional.

Frank then proceeded to break out the floor at the leak site located the split pipe repaired it tested system and lagged pipework great job !.

Prior to retirement I was a safety professional on nuclear sites and petroleumchemical/gas plants.

Frank's work was carried out to a standard suitable for those industries.

A small but constant leak under the ground floor of the house in the low pressure system. Leak increased in last couple of weeks and now recognised as being probably in the hot water feed as hot tank was turning cold very quickly. We only knew we had a leak initially as the cold water tank ball valve was constantly dribbling. No visual evidence of damp anywhere. Called ADI and their engineer Frank arrived today to investigate. Using heat, damp, gas and sound detection equipment he quickly established the probable location of the leak. Then proceeded to excavate down to expose the pipework below. He was spot on with his assessment and the offending pipe was duly discovered in amongst a nest of others. These pipes were buried under a brick and concrete floor, insulation and a damp proof membrane so no sign of water above. A very awkward repair was then carried out and the system re tested with air under pressure to confirm no other leaks elsewhere. Having previously called in another specialist firm without result my expectations were not high but ADIs approach to the problem was quite different and very professional. Frank was methodical and thorough in his approach and hard working with it, I would not hesitate in recommending ADI, particularly Frank.

Mark Pavitt detected and fixed the leaks in my 96-year-old mother's house yesterday - and I have to say, the man's a star!

This wasn't straightforward. It is an older property with a gravity-fed boiler and the leak was under the concrete floor. Finding the leak wasn't straightforward because there was a membrane above the pipes which diffused the gas, but Mark persisted and was able to find exactly where the leak was. He then dug the floor up and we could see it. However, Mark said he could hear a second leak (he must have great ears!) and so he kept digging - and he was right.

Due to the nature of the house, we were already quite late in the day but Mark kept at it into the evening and fixed both leaks - all at the fixed price quoted. Goodness knows what time he finally got home (he still had a 2-hour drive at the end of the day).

It must have been a frustrating job but Mark was friendly and professional throughout, with a ready smile and plenty of reassurance - and he really went above and beyond.

Had a leak in the central heating system going to ground somewhere but no evidence visible. Frank arrived promptly on the appointed day and made sure he understood the complex system we have. Leak located using acoustics, floor excavated, pipes replaced and a long pressure test to ensure no further leaks. System refilled and checked. Frank worked his socks off all day! Such a relief to have it repaired.

Artur was very polite and friendly.

I could hear a leak in the house and realised it was underground. Artur arrived and checked for dampness in the floors internally and externally and all was dry so ascertained the water must be going into the ground.

He quickly found the leak behind the dishwasher and dug access into the floor exposing the copper pipe and water leak. The leak was repaired and Artur cleaned up behind him.

I contacted ADI on Monday about an outside leak that we could hear but no signs of water outside. I spoke to a lovely man who explained everything on how they work and booked me in for the next day. On tje day Jimmy rang me and gave me his arrival time, which he arrived on time. He explained how he works, then got on with the job. He showed me where the leak was asked permission to dig the plants up and got on with the repair. He worked in a friendly, professional manner and worked solid to get the repair done. Completely tidied up after he finished and before leaving checked that everything was working. Next day I received the reports that Jimmy promised would arrive. I would definitely use this company again and will recommend them to others who may need their service.

We discovered a whooshing noise from our bathroom late monday night, checked our water supplier app and could see our water usage was exceedingly high.

Contacted ADI and spoke to Dominic. Dominic talked me through the process and prices and was able to book the assessment for first thing Thursday, with assurance that the designated plumber would be with us for the day, to allow for full assessment using five non evasive methods, and would then carry out the required repairs and supply a full written report to assist in any claims needed to be made through our house insurance.

Frank arrived Thursday morning promptly and was polite, well prepared and very knowledgeable about the process and was amazingly reassuring to me, as I was very anxious about what would be required.

Frank was very attentive and kept me informed about each step, the findings and the works that were required to rectify the leak.

Frank then proceeded to conduct the work and was extremely careful ensuring disruption and damage avoidance were kept to the minimum.

Frank worked with efficiency and left me feeling confident that the leak had been resolved and he put back everything possible to the way it was before (brickweave, flooring, toilet etc)

He tested everything before leaving and talked me through all the new pipelines that had been fitted.

He advised the office employees would contact me with the final invoice and full report and once received I would then be able to pay

It is such a relief to have found this impeccable company with such immensely valuable workmanship and their attention to detail in a distressing situation alleviated some of the stress.

After weeks of trying to trace a leak in household piping that I could hear but could see no clear evidence of I called ADI on Wednesday afternoon. Superbly clear, helpful and rapid customer service discussion with Abz led to booking an engineer for 09.30 the next day — in effect that meant the delay would be zero, which amazed me. Kyle arrived promptly (phoning me at 9.30 to advise of a slight traffic delay). With great efficiency and the use of ADI’s technology he located the leak in an old pipe buried in sub-floor screed. He then worked hard to expose it manually and provide access for repair. Kyle’s expertise, work, politeness, and cleanliness deserve the highest praise. And the company’s customer service from first enquiry onwards was equally impressive.

We could hear water rushing behind a wall and disappearing below the house. Cut the supply off and called ADI who were able to send an engineer over the following morning. Paul was really friendly and proactive, using all his gadgets and even diving into the crawl space below the kitchen to find the source of the leak. He found the culprit was a shoddy joint on some non-standard sized pipe and luckily had the correct replacement part with him to fix it on the day. The call-out fee was a little eye watering but who knows how someone without all the gizmos would have managed? They've also provided us with a report for the repair and a load of pictures for the insurance company. Many thanks!
